bleh
I've lost my muse. Ever since the first bout of morning sickness, I haven't felt like cooking. Someone please remind me how fun it used to be. What did I ever see in it? If I don't figure it out soon, I'm going to have to find a new hobby.
Don't worry. It doesn't come back right away. Once you get your routine down, and recover you will suddenly find your self in the kitchen cooking more and more.
i agree with this kelly person. i didnt feel "normal" (if you can call it that) til jake was about 6 months old. if you loved cooking before, you will again at some point. but i totally know what you mean--i go through phases where it is just the most unfun thing. good luck with that one. p.s. olivia is such a doll!
Go see Julie and Julia and see if that doesn't inspire you a little. If not, just enjoy a great movie that managed to choke up both your parents. Wish I could be there to cook for you--put your sister to work when she arrives. She's a great cook and I'm going to miss her terribly.
I also lose my cooking groove in the summer. My guess is yours will come back once fall and winter roll around. Also- that whole six month baby thing is true- especially with the first. You'll finally start feeling back to "you" sometime around that time!
I don't know if you're still in a funk, but you should try this foodie blog. Great recipes and photography. http://www.joythebaker.com/blog/in-the-kitchen/
We met four years ago and became best friends pretty much instantly. We've been inseperable ever since. These are the stories and pictures of our adventures together as we finish up school and head out into the real world.

Remember how you get to eat it? That's pretty much all the motivation I need.
