You'll be home for Christmas

This is for Lizzy and Emile- stuck in Salt Lake because all flights to DC have been cancelled until at least Monday morning. Because we're having record-breaking snow here. Never mind that we didn't want snow, didn't dance for snow, and actually prayed really hard not to have snow, because we really want our sisters home!
But since we have it now, we're making the best of things. Cam's built an igloo, Maggie's contracted strep, Mom made taco soup, and Olivia's learned to wave at people. And cats and dogs and sippy cups.
Lizzy, here are the pictures you asked for. We can't wait for you to get here!

Merry Christmas from VA

So... we moved to VA last month. It was pretty spur of the moment, and whirlwindy and stuff. Things have been really busy, obviously, so I'm sorry for my absence, but I think we'll finally be able to get back to normal soon. Hopefully.

Olivia's six months old, now! I swear she's grown up so much in the last month. She's sitting really well now, and she's been trying some baby food- and liking it! Bananas are her favorite so far. She's also really taking off with her babbling. She talks all day long. This morning when I was changing a really stinky diaper, I asked if she'd been eating tuna. She looked kind of guilty, so I asked who gave her tuna, and she distinctly said "Gramma." My mom heard from upstairs and yelled down that she did not! I don't know who to believe.
Here are some pictures from the last month. Her sunglasses finally fit her, and she can hold up her head to wear them. She's actually pretty good about keeping them on when I put them on her.

She's finally learned she can use her thumb independently from her fingers, which means she's now a thumb-sucking fiend. It's nice that we don't have to keep putting her binky back in her mouth all the time. She's also getting really good at that, too. In fact, she's getting good at putting everything into her mouth. See the picture with her toes in her mouth? Even things that she can't pick up yet. She just leans forward until she can lick them. Like her toy piano from Grandma Jean. She loves that toy. And I'll admit, I dance like a fool to the music to see if she'll laugh at me. I find myself doing the goofiest stuff to get reactions from her. It's nice to have an excuse to dance and be silly.
